The brief
A newly finished Irvine home with tall sliders and wide window walls. The owners wanted quiet coverage rather than a statement: fabric that softens the afternoon sun, keeps the rooms private, and reads as part of the architecture.
Our solution
We specified custom drapery in a warm linen-toned weave, made to measure for each opening. Panels are finished with tailored pinch pleats and hung from rings on slim bronze rods with ball finials. Rods extend past the glass so the stacks clear the openings, and the corner window returns are treated as a continuous run so the fabric turns the corner without a break.
- Made-to-measure pinch-pleat panels for sliders, corner windows and bedroom walls
- Bronze-finish rods with rings and ball finials, mounted high and wide
- Floor-length hems measured to the carpet and tile on each elevation
The result
Closed, the panels hold an even column of pleats and glow softly where the sun sits behind them. The bedroom stays calm and shaded; the living and kitchen area keeps its daylight without glare. Neutral fabric against white walls lets the rooms feel finished before the furniture arrives.
