The brief
The home has wide window walls facing strong afternoon light, plus a vaulted bedroom where the window runs nearly the full wall. The owners wanted daylight to stay, glare to go, and the architecture to remain the focus.
Our solution
We specified Custom Drapery throughout: pinch-pleat panels in a soft linen-look fabric, made to measure and hung to break just above the floor. Slim black rods with simple brackets line up with the ceiling planes and read as a quiet graphic line against white walls and dark beams.
- Pinch-pleat headings for even, repeating folds
- Wide multi-panel runs measured to span full window walls
- Black hardware selected to match ceiling beams and interior trim
- Stack-back planned so panels clear the glass when open
The result
In the living room the sheer weave turns direct sun into an even wash of light; the ocean-side brightness stays, the harshness does not. In the bedroom the fuller panels close the wall of glass into calm. Each room keeps its own character while the drapery detail runs consistently through the house.
