The brief
The living room is one continuous glass wall that turns two corners. The owners wanted daylight to stay, but not the exposure that comes with it. In the primary bedroom the request was the opposite: a room that could go quiet and dark.
Our solution
We measured each run and fabricated sheer panels tall enough to break just at the floor. A recessed ceiling track carries the fabric across the window wall in one unbroken line, so the pleats read as a single soft plane rather than separate windows. In the bedroom we used a heavier lustrous fabric on a slim dark rod, pinch-pleated and stacked wide so the panels close fully across the glass.
- Ceiling-recessed track for the living room sheers
- Pinch-pleat headings with even, hand-set folds
- Slim dark rod and finials in the bedroom
- Panels measured to finish cleanly at the floor
The result
By day the living room glows. The herringbone floor and pale sectional pick up the diffused light, and the view beyond stays present as a soft wash. The bedroom closes down to a still, even grey. Two different jobs, one consistent language of fabric.
