The brief
A two-story dining room with one tall window and a wide-armed chandelier overhead. Daylight came in hard and flat, and the bare glass left the room feeling unfinished. The owners wanted softness and a measure of privacy without losing the brightness.
Our solution
We measured the full height and specified made-to-measure sheer panels in a warm ivory weave, hung from a slim dark metal rod set high and wide. The pleats are spaced so the fabric falls in even, unbroken columns from rod to floor. A second room in the home received heavier textured panels on a brushed brass rod, drawn wall to wall across the glass door.
The result
Light now arrives diffused and even, with the window grid reading softly through the weave. The vertical folds answer the height of the room and settle the chandelier into a calmer setting. Closed, the panels screen the view; open, they stack tidily at the edges.
