The brief
The window sits directly above a freestanding tub, at eye level from both inside and outside. The homeowner wanted daylight at the bath without a view in, and a treatment that would hold up to the moisture of a wet room.
Our solution
We specified custom shutters in a clean white finish, built as a two-panel configuration inside a framed opening. Wide louvers tilt up to lift light toward the ceiling while blocking the sightline at tub height. Closed, the panels read as a solid, quiet surface against the warm off-white walls.
The result
The shutters were measured to the opening and installed square, with hinges and frame lines kept tight and consistent. The crisp white sits comfortably beside the fluted wall panel and polished chrome fittings. Privacy is adjustable with one hand, from the tub.
