White Shutters Across Four Bedrooms

The brief

Four bedrooms, and almost no two windows the same. Tall singles, short horizontals, narrow slots tucked into corners. The family wanted one treatment that would read as architecture rather than decoration, and give each room control over daylight and privacy.

Our solution

We measured every opening and built custom shutters to fit each one inside the frame. White panels sit flush with the wall, so the louvers become part of the window rather than something added to it. In the primary bedroom, a pair of panels sits above the desk; in the corner rooms, narrow units hold their proportion beside wider ones.

The result

Tilted open, the louvers lift daylight toward the ceiling and keep glare off screens and pillows. Closed, they block the view from close neighbours without drawing a curtain. The rooms stay bright, uncluttered and easy to adjust by hand.
